The last of the three institutionally mandated courses of Silliman University, this study introduces students to the ethics of the Christian faith. First part of this study covers the nature and task of Christian ethics. The second part pays attention to how Christian ethics can provide critical insights to contemporary issues of the Filipino people. This study concludes with learning activities that facilitate application of insights to issues experience by Filipinos at present.
In consonance with the educational mission of the university to “contribute to national development” of the country, the overall goal of this course is to highlight the practical import of Christian ethics to Philippine situation, particularly as it pertains to total human development and the well-being of the Philippine society and its natural environment.
